Beer Review – Samuel Smith’s Oatmeal Stout

Next up in the Samuel Smith lineup was the Oatmeal Stout. The pour was a dark, dark brown with brown, lasting foam. The aroma was strong on roasted malt with the hint of burnt chocolate. The mouth feel was thick and full and the taste of chocolate and coffee with a slightly sweet finish. While the Beer Advocate gave it an A-, I liked the Oatmeal Stout a little more than the Winter Welcome and give it an A.
